Venkataswami. Tulsemmah And Nagaya

Today's free book is Tulsemmah And Nagaya by M. N. Venkataswami (1918). For the table of contents, check at the bottom of this post below the image. This collection of stories is named after the author's parents, just as he named his follow-up collection of stories after his wife: Heeramma and Venkataswami, or Folktales From India.

The book is available at Internet Archive (I have not checked for other online sources). 

Venkataswami collected the stories in Nagpur and in Hyderabad. Here's a contemporary photo of modern Hyderabad:
