Today's free book is The Fairy Tales by Catherine d'Aulnoy translated by Annie Macdonnell and Miss Lee with an introduction by Anne Thackeray Ritche and illustrations by Clinton Peters. Madame D'Aulnoy (1650-1705) was the first professional woman writer in France; you can find out more at Wikipedia.
