Larned. American Indian Fairy Tales

Today's free book is American Indian Fairy Tales by W.T. Larned, with illustrations by John Rae. The stories in this book are based on stories collected and published in the early 19th century by Henry Schoolcraft; find out more at Wikipedia. Schoolcraft was one of Longfellow's sources for his romantic poem, Hiawatha. You can find out more about this book in the American Indian Fairy Tales unit of the Myth-Folklore UnTextbook.
