Today's free book is
The Weird Orient: Nine Mystic Tales by Henry Iliowizi. He is also the author of
In the Pale: Stories and Legends of the Russian Jews. In this book, Iliowizi has worked with stories from Arabic and Persian sources, but given that the stories are very much suffused with his own literary perspective, I've included this in the "Biblical" section as an example of Jewish storytelling. You can find out more about Iliowizi here:
Lesser Known Writers: Henry Iliowizi.
