Today's free book is The Eʻwe-speaking peoples of the Slave Coast of West Africa by A. B. Ellis (1890). There are four folktales in the book, and I have listed their titles below.
The book is available at Hathi Trust (I have not checked for other online sources).
Stories:
The Hyena and the Bush-Cat
The Maiden Who Always Refused
Why Monkeys Live in Trees
Why the Hare Runs Away
